🌍 Dirextra Industry Briefing Series
Construction, Infrastructure, Energy & Tourism Sectors
The Dirextra Industry Briefing Series are international professional orientation programmes designed for graduates and young professionals (with up to 3 years of experience) who wish to start a career in the construction, infrastructure, energy, or tourism sectors.
Each programme has a total duration of 1,500 hours, combining:
- an initial orientation phase abroad, focused on networking and professional engagement, and
- a guaranteed international placement phase (1,000 hours) in Italy or in other partner countries (excluding the UK).
The orientation phase is held in selected European cities, which may vary by edition. Previous sessions have taken place in Rome, Milan, Catania, Malta, and Manchester, and the next edition is scheduled to begin in Brussels.
During this first phase, participants engage in:
- Professional briefings and technical simulations with industry experts
- Company visits and networking events with employers and project managers
- Career planning sessions and professional development activities
- Cultural visits and international networking opportunities
This is not a study programme, but a professional and cultural experience aimed at building international awareness and preparing participants for real-world challenges in their chosen industry.
The subsequent international placement phase (1,000 hours) takes place in Italy or other partner countries, where participants gain hands-on experience within leading construction, infrastructure, energy, or tourism companies.
