The aim of the “English Course Level C1/C2” is the acquisition of English level C1 or C2 on the CEFR and the certification in this following the C1 or C2 exam which will be held at the end of the course.

The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is a descriptive system used to establish the level of ability achieved by those studying a foreign European language.

The six levels of reference into which the CEFR is divided (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 and C2) are universally accepted as parameters within which to assess individual levels of linguistic competence. The aim of the Construction Business School’s Level C1/C2 English Course is certification in the level acquired by the end of the course which could be C1 or C2.

Our courses follow the Callan Method©: a method founded in London in the 1960s and which, with a decidedly more “practical” and modern approach than traditional methods, looks to accustom students to spoken language from the very beginning.

Spoken English is extremely difficult to understand because it is fast, in contrast to written language which allows you to think calmly, re-read phrases several times and see individual words clearly in black and white, and is therefore easier. The only way to improve comprehension and learn to speak is to have regular contact with the language at a realistic speed.

With the Callan Method© the time the students spend with the teachers, all of course native English speakers, is used exclusively to that end. It is, however, also a very structured method, which leaves nothing to chance: at home the student can check what has been done in class, the rules covered and all the vocabulary enrichment, thanks to the didactic material (book and audio CD) which we make available to you.
